Pa Xa Mama Hotel Boutique

We were overcharged due to our desperation but a thousand pesos for a night I guess wasn't so bad. They tried to accuse us of smoking in the room which did not happen as they were having smokes with us outside of the hotel meaning members of the staff and his friends. All that said the place is very comfortable and clean.

Pretty good place to stay at. Got a bundle-deal via JetBlue with a hotel room here thrown in for about $16 difference with air-fare (a JetBlue Vacations bundle versus JetBlue flights only). When we arrived, the AC was not working - one of the works turned into Spider-Man and crawled into the wall space to add “gas” to our AC unit and it came back to life! The workers at the desk, although very off-putting at first, seem to warm up after a couple of days. They say wifi only works in the common areas but we were lucky enough to get strong signal from our room, conveniently located next to the common area. Shower, sheets, bed, pillows, soaps/shampoos, and towels were all great. Room service came by daily and offered to replenish everything, they even mopped the floor without us asking. Would recommend, would stay here again - though next time I may get a bigger room.

My family and I stayed at this hotel for a week and the staff and service were pretty good. Just know that if you are expecting a fancy hotel this place is not for you as their is no pool etc. This place serves its purpose, a simple place for you to lay your head at night and shower. They do offer wifi but unfortunately does not reach the rooms as you must stay in the common lounging areas of the hotel to use it. If you want to get a sense of the local life staying here is great as you will be away from the hotel zone and living among the cancun locals.

The location is great, downtown. Had a problem with the toilet having the seat broken but they changed me to another room while that was getting fixed, which was done pretty quickly bring ready the next day. It is a little bit on the noisy side, some loud music across the street blasting until around 2 am. Other than that the location is great, walking distance from ADO bust station. There's a lot of small restaurants around the area with really cheap prices and amazing food. Just look at where mexicans are eating, you'll get the same quality of food than in other tourist focused restaurants for half the price or less. There's a plaza a couple streets away which has some stuff going on there during the weekends, acrobats, clowns, etc.. street performers. And a big stage which features some shows, singing dancing etc. All in all good place for the price.

Today is the final day of my stay at the Hotel. Checking was pretty good. I needed it to stay close to Palapas Park and Tulum Avenue for bus pickups or any taxi services. Walmart and other Supermarket are walking distance. My room was renewed and cleaned. The room is as simple. For me staying at the hotel is mainly about having a place to stay to sleep and shower. Most of my days were to be outside doing Cancun Adventures. I appreciate the frontdesk that's a very nice staff. I appreciate the guy that booked me. I had a very nice experience and the hotel was enough for me to feel safe. Thank you so much for having me!

We had a great stay in Pa Xa Mama. We chose this hotel because we would like to stay near the pick up point for xcaret park (11 minutes walk to smart oasis). I really like the location: estimated 10 minutes walk to las pala pas, 10 minutes to Ado bus station, the local bus is easily available just outside the hotel, there’s 24 hours pharmacy about 1 min walk. There’s 2 chinese restaurant nearby, taco restaurant just outside the hotel, chedraui is less than 5 min walk… The hotel is very clean and the receptionist are very friendly. One of the lady there is very helpful and with a good english speaking skills. I really appreciate the free water provided by the hotel and 24 hours front desk service. Will probably go back and stay again on this hotel.

BIG rooms and small prices. Recommended if you want to spend the night close to the airport the day before a flight. Parking is VERY limited (3-4 reserved spots) parking on the street is super difficult.

Awesome price for an awesome hotel. It's situated in the centre, really close to the central bus station. The room was giant and the bathrooms renovated and new. The staff was really nice and helpful too. I loved it and will come back as soon as possible.
